New Here?
What Should You Expect?
Friday evening at 7:00pm
Our Friday service is very casual ... so shorts, T-shirts, and flip-flops are okay, as are pants, dresses, and loafers. We are a "come as you are" church that emphasizes your place in our family over how you are dressed.
Sunday morning at 11:00am
Our Sunday service is also casual, but most folks feel more comfortable dressing up a bit more on Sunday morning ... so casual to business casual both work for this service. We want you to feel welcomed and comfortable as you attend.
Wednesday evening at 7:00pm
Our Wednesday Bible studies and classes are also casual and whatever you might be wearing as you come home from work on a weekday will do. You will be welcomed with open arms during these small group classes.
Small Groups
Small groups take place most of the time outside of the church. Groups are led by people just like you to help you find how you fit into this community. Want to join a small group? Click right HERE for more info
Jesus didn't have a dress code so neither do we. You can expect to see people in all ranges of clothing. From basketball shorts to suits we have it all. Wear what makes you comfortable.
Parking is located on Natched Ave across the street from the church. Thist lot holds roughly 20 cars double parked. If this lot is full feel free to park on the street.
We have a large variety of age groups and demographics. On a typical Sunday mornign or Friday night you can expect Kids K-5 Youth 6th-12th a number of Young Adults 18-35 yrs and above.
What Are Your Next Steps?
I have visited this website, now what?
Now that you have viewed our website and goten a taste of what Refuge is, we would love to see you! Join us either Friday at 7:00pm or Sunday at 11:00am for a service and to meet our community. We want to help take away any anxiety that may come with your first visit so we encourage you to fill out the Plan Your Visit form and allow us to reach out to you before your visit. There we can answer any questions you may have prior to your visit. Fill that out right below!
When you arrive at the corner of Broadview Rd and Natchez Ave, you will enter through the two doors on Natchez, walk up several steps, and into our foyer where you will be warmly greeted by a volunteer from Refuge. We also have a handicap ramp for those with those particular needs.
I attended now what?
If you are regularly attending then it is time to plug in. We have opportunities for both volunteering and leadership. We have needs in teaching, cleaning, technology, greeting, worship and staffing our kitchen. We will find a place for you to serve, and we also want to help disciple you in your walk with Jesus Christ. We are offering various Bible studies and classes on Wednesday evenings and we will set you up with one-on-one discipleship if necessary. Your next step in our church is to attend our monthly Explore class. Explore is designed to share the mission, vision, and goals of Refuge Cleveland. You will hear the history of the ministry and how you can get plugged in. This class takes place the second Sunday of every month after the 11:00am service. Email Staff member Eddie Sallow with any additional questions about these opportunities.
